Building an Anti-Oppressive Practice for Ethical Client Care: A Systems Perspective on Intersectionality and Social Location

This training will address how systems of racism, oppression and colonialism manifest in social work and counseling practice and how we can learn ways to reduce these impacts and/or ways in which these can be perpetuated within our own practice.  We will explore the gaps and limitations of the institutionalized frameworks that we’re often given to support our clients.
